Who's the Punk Now?

So I have had my eye on these babies for a while
I know that they traditionally represent goth or punk culture, especially in the 90's but I think you can get around that.

I think they can be really versitile, even in the purple.

Couldn't you see them with the whole tights and jean shorts combo we've been seeing alot (especially during my semester in Madrid)? Or with an over sized top or sweater and leggings?

I could even see myself with white ones
I actually just bought some much more normal yet still absolutely beautiful boots for fall. Ok I know IT IS STILL SUMMER but they were on sale for less than $100 and I really couldn't pass that up. They are these boots but black from Steve Madden.
Unfortunately that means I have spent what I wanted to spend on Dr Martens on these boots.

Besides I think my mom would flip if I said I wanted a pair, even if they were purple.

Oh well, I could always get a used pair on ebay!

Fun Fact:

80% of Dr. Martens first decade of sales (it began in 1947) went to women over the age of 40.

  1. Oh my you should definitely get Doc Martens, I invested in a pair a few months back after lusting after them for ages and they just go with everything and are suitable for all seasons. I love those purple tinged ones too; they add an intriguing and unusual vibe to the standardised black x
